aways climb up to grab it. When it is winter they dig holes in the ground big enough for about 6 wolves and they huddle together to keep warm.

The wolves live in the green area.

Structual adaptation one
The way that the small spotted wolf climb's trees to reach birds is very unusual because most animals like them cannot climb trees but they enjoy climbing trees and also use it to escape from predetors and to keep there pups out of danger. They are about 5 meters long and weigh about 100 pounds. They have small teeth but they are very strong so they can chew through bones.

Structual adaptation two
The wolf has small legs but they can run very fast, there egs help them to outrun predators. They are very good at hiding in the bushes if they get seperated from the pack. They are able to run up to 60km/h when the feel threatened. The woves fur is a light shade of brown and they have small white coloured spots.
Behavourial adaptation one
The way the wolves give birth is very different to most animals. They lay eggs. When a male and female wolf meet they can have a long or short relationship, just depends on where they stand in the pack. It takes about 8 weeks for an egg to born and about 8 days before the eggs hatch. When the pups are first born they cannot see or hear the rely on there mother to guide and protect them until another 8 days then they open there eyes and ears. It takes 1 1/2 years before the pups are fully grown.

Behavourial adaptation two
The wolf is active at the day and night, they prefer to hunt at night when all birds are sleeping and they take it back to the pack for the next day. The small spotted wolf has a lifespan of about 25 years. They try to avoid fighting with other animals as they are small and not very strong.

Physiological adaptation
The small spotted wolf looses some of its fur in the summer so it makes it cooler for them and they grow alot more fur befor winter so they have a very thick coat. They prefer to hunt in packs more then seperate, and they always stay in groups of 6 or more, to increase there chances of survival if they come face to face with a predator.
